Ghost in the Shell – the original (1995) movie by Mamoru Oshii’s, is classic anime that has lead to more recent Ghost in the Shell anime series. In 2006 the made-for-TV: Ghost in the Shell – Stand Alone Complex (see VIDEO clip later in this post) and then the Ghost in the Shell: Arise anime series, which when compared to the original movie, was not well received by fans of GITS.
… but if you’re not a die hard fan of the original Ghost in the Shell movie or, if you just haven’t seen the original movie, then the Ghost in the Shell: Arise series may well be worth checking out.
