There are many “Top 10 Anime 2014” and “Favourite Anime 2014” lists out there, and many keen anime fans who have very good reasons for their selections. I have my own favourite anime of 2014 list, but it doesn’t classify the anime I have selected, it is just a list of the anime I have discovered throughout 2014 that I really enjoyed watching. They are:

1. Hellsing: Ultimate (I just love Alucard)
2. Sword Art Online Death Gun (Fabulous animation and original theme)
3. Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai (Strange but cute)
4. The Devil is a Part-Timer ( This was very funny)
5. Tokyo Ghoul (A great theme and a bit weird at times)
6. Cross Ange Rondo (Note: see this post for the controversial “Ange Violated” scene that I added to this post – before it disappears)
7. High School of the Dead (Because I just like it)
8. Akame ga Kill (Great animation and plenty of great fight scenes)
9. Hitsugi no Chaika – Coffin Princess (I found this anime to be bizarre, and couldn’t stop watching it)
10. Elfen Lied (Not new but awesome, even if you have trouble looking beyond the violence and the nudity)

This is my list and is in not in any order … it’s just a list of the anime I have enjoyed the most in 2014. Needless to say I could write a much , much bigger list of the shows that I didn’t like at all. Sometimes I just thought ” Who the hell would like this”  … but every anime fan has their own taste, that’s why (and we’re lucky) there’s such a huge variety of anime for fans to watch.
